Mission & Vision
Goldsmith Swim School is an authorized American Red Cross Training Provider. Under Mrs. Shiri Goldsmith, several lifeguards are being trained every few months to learn how to teach swimming and assist her with swimming groups. Goldsmith Swim and More offers swimming lessons and various American Red Cross training including lifeguarding, first aid and CPR, Basic Life Support, and other classes. Our goal is that every local child should be able to learn how to swim , regardless of ability, disability, and socoieconomic status. Additionally, we want to train high quality lifeguards to help improve water safety. We want to prepare teenagers how to learn responsibility and take on what is for many students their first formal job and do it well.

About Goldsmith Swim
Mission Statement
Learning how to swim is essential for every person . Countless tragedies could be prevented if more kids knew basic water safety skills. At Goldsmith Swim we want swimming lessons to be available for everyone, regardless of special needs, anxiety, developmental delays, or socio economic difficulties. Along this line, at least 20% of students are given discounted swimming lessons to make swimming lessons more affordable for them. In order to help enable more students to be able to access swimming lessons, we fill out the paperwork and try to work with any scholarships , grants, insurance, waivers , or similar programs geared towards neurodivergent students to help students with any special needs get swimming lessons at no cost to them . We also are flexible and will adapt swimming lessons to meet a child's individual lessons. Whether the child needs longer time, shorter time, more frequent lessons, more unstructured practice time, we work with parents to adapt swimming lessons to help their child succeed.
How can you help
$100 sponsor an aid for a day so that you can help a special needs child learn in a environment with a high staff ratio suited to their needs.
$500 sponsors a scholarship for one child to get a session of swimming lessons.
$2500 sponsors a group session for swimming lessons to enable a child and up to 5 friends to all learn together.

Our Goal
Goldsmith Swim is in the process of building an indoor pool so that we can operate all year long regardless of the weather. With the current demand, we had a waiting list of over 100 students this summer. If we were to operate all year round, we would be able to service 3 x as many students and offer significantly more lifeguard trainings and other classes. Our building costs are estimated at $300,000. We are looking for generous donors to help us reach our mission of being able to help more children be able to learn how to swim so that we can serve the whole community and get more kids swimming safely in the water. Contact us if you can help.
